Configuring Hetzner Cloud Provisioning & Dynamic Markup

Complete guide to provisioning Hetzner Cloud VMs, automated snapshots, HTML5 noVNC console, and hourly wallet deductions.

Step 1: Generate Hetzner Cloud API Token 1. Log in to the [Hetzner Cloud Console](https://console.hetzner.cloud/). 2. Select or create the project you want to dedicate to WHMCS customer provisioning. 3. In the left menu, navigate to **Security > API Tokens**. 4. Click **Generate API Token**. Name it `WHMCS Provisioning Engine` and grant **Read & Write** permissions. 5. Copy the generated token string.

---

Step 2: Configure Module Settings in WHMCS 1. In WHMCS Admin, go to **System Settings > Servers** (or **Setup > Products/Services > Servers**). 2. Click **Add New Server**. - **Name**: `Hetzner Cloud Production` - **Type**: Select `Hetzner Cloud Manager` from the dropdown. - **Access Hash / API Token**: Paste your Hetzner API Token. - **Secure Connection**: Check the box. 3. Click **Save Changes**.

---

Step 3: Setting Up Hourly Pay-As-You-Go Billing Under **Addons > Hetzner Cloud Manager > Hourly Billing Rules**: - **Deduction Frequency**: Select `Hourly (Recommended)` or `Daily`. - **Profit Markup Mode**: Choose between: - **Flat Markup**: Add a fixed amount per VM per month (e.g., `+$4.00/mo`). - **Dynamic Multiplier**: Multiply upstream Hetzner cost by a factor (e.g., `1.40` for 40% gross margin). - **Grace Threshold**: Define the minimum wallet credit balance (e.g., `$2.00`) before the automated suspension warning email is triggered.

---

Step 4: Out-of-band noVNC Web Console The HTML5 noVNC console is active by default. When clients view their active server in `clientarea.php?action=productdetails`, a secure **Open Terminal Console** button opens an encrypted WebSocket session directly to the Hetzner hypervisor node.
